For people who enjoy music, there is nothing like being part of a band. In an effort to share the joy of making music with friends, Odell Williamson Auditorium will offer Camp Rock. The nine day summer camp will teach what it takes to put on a Rock Show, where they will produce their own concert for friends and family, just like the pros. There will be specialized classes in instrument and vocal training, hands on sound, light and stage production, and how to collaborate and have fun with others in a band situation. Skill level does not matter as we will be encouraging everyone to participate in all the different roles involved in producing a concert event that is fun and entertaining for all. These skills will serve you throughout your life.

Camp Rock will include:

• Learning nuts and bolts of live performance.

• Studio/band rehearsal time.

• Instruction clinics with professional musicians.

• Music theory and songwriting courses.

• Rock and roll music appreciation.

• Interacting with other young musicians.

• A live rock and roll show performance for your family and friends.

• Having fun while doing something that you love!
