"All the world’s a stage...." in As You Like It, one of Shakespeare’s greatest comedies. Join Aquila Theatre in the Forest of Arden where love comes in all shapes, sizes, and disguises. Aquila infuses As You Like It with their unique blend of fun and entertaining theatricality. The production is both faithful to Shakespeare and relevant and accessible to a modern audience. Aquila’s previous Shakespearean comedies have been described as "Gleefully engaging...almost unbearable fun...directed with inspiration and a beautiful use of physical humor" by The New York Times and "Beautifully spoken, dramatically revealing and crystalline in effect" by The New Yorker.

 

CARRIE HASSLER AND HARD RAIN

Carrie Hassler & Hard Rain’s highly entertaining performances along with a mega chart topping album has made them one of the most requested bands in acoustic music. The group jumped on the scene late in 2006 with the release of their self-titled album. The CD was an immediate success debuting at #11 on Billboard Top Bluegrass Top Album Chart.
Carrie’s incredible lead vocals, combined with the extraordinary talent of this young band continues to create a buzz in bluegrass music. Not only has the bluegrass community welcomed this group, but they have had crossover success into Country, Roots and American radio and events as well.

 EMILE PANDOLFI AT CHRISTMAS

If you enjoy Christmas - or want to enjoy it more - you’ll have the opportunity to sit back and experience the wonders of the season with Emile Pandolfi at Christmas, a show filled with plenty of holiday music and laughter. Emile, a concert pianist known for his luxurious arrangements of Broadway and popular music, is in a world class all his own. His albums of popular show tunes and standards have sold over 2 million copies. Although Pandolfi does a solo show during the year, at Christmas time he collaborates with James Sibley, whose down-home, friendly humor takes him all over the country as a stand-up comic. PARAGON RAGTIME ORCHESTRA

The Paragon Ragtime Orchestra’s repertoire is a varied one, skipping from Blues to waltzes, from operatic parodies and novelty numbers to marches and popular songs of the vintage American popular music era. And of course there is the syncopated centerpiece of the orchestra’s collection, the rag, in its magnificent variety, from the symphonic to the slapstick. The orchestra accompanies silent films of the vintage era using the original scores to films by Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton and Harold Lloyd. All are brought to life with chamber music polished in authentic period orchestrations.

 

THE GLENN MILLER ORCHESTRA

The World Famous, Glenn Miller Orchestra, is the most popular and sought after big band in the world today for both concert and swing dance engagements. With its unique jazz sound, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is considered to be one of the greatest bands of all time.
The present Glenn Miller Orchestra was formed in 1956 and has been touring consistently since, playing an average of 300 live dates a year all around the world. Trombonist Larry O’Brian is the orchestra’s present musical director.
